FAQ's

1. INSURING AGE

  • 18 years old to 80 years old
  • Dependent child/ Children - 3 months and above, under 18 years of age
2. ELIGIBILITY FOR COVERAGE 
  • An individual who travels domestically within Malaysia or overseas for the purpose of leisure and/ or business
3. PERIOD OF COVERAGE
  • Single trip - The maximum length of each covered trip is 90 days
  • Annual trip - The maximum length of each covered trip is 90 days with unlimited numbers of trips per year

4. I AM HOLDING A ONE - WAY TICKET. CAN I PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE?

  • NO, this travel insurance is only eligible to round trip

5. TRIP COMMENCEMENT

  • All trip must commence from Malaysia

6. CAN I CANCEL POLICY AND GET A REFUND?

  • NO refund of premium allowed once the certificate is issued. The insurance cover shall be non-renewable,non-cancellable

7. DEFINITION OF FAMILY COVER

  • For Single Family Plan - Policy shall include a maximum of 2 insured adults, accompanying with unmarried, dependent, legal Child(ren), grandchild(ren), nephew(s), niece(s) or cousin(s), aged below 18 years old
  • For Annual Family Plan - Policy shall include Insured Person, Spouse and dependent legal child(ren) who is/are aged from 3 months up to the attainment of 18 years of age

8. CAN I BUY MORE THAN ONE TRAVEL INSURANCE POLICY FOR THE SAME TRIP?

  • Each Insured Person are eligible for one policy per trip
9. CAN I PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE AFTER I DEPART AND STILL BE COVERED?
  • NO. You must purchase the policy prior to your scheduled departure
10. CAN I EXTEND MY POLICY PERIOD AFTER THE COMMENCEMENT OF MY TRIP?
  • No extension allows after the commencement date
11. I AM TRAVELLING TO MULTIPLE COUNTRIES, DO I NEED TO BUY A SEPARATE PLAN FOR EACH COUNTRY?
  • If you are traveling to multiple destinations within the same trip, you can be covered under the same policy. Please select the furthest region as listed under our area of coverage
12. DEFINITION OF ASIA PACIFIC
  • The ASEAN countries, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Macau, Maldives, Mongolia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tibet. The Pacific Island excluding Hawaiian Island.
13. WHEN DOES THE COMMENCEMENT OF TRAVEL INSURANCE COVERAGE BEGIN & END?
  • The coverage commencing from the time when the Insured Person leaves his/ her place of residence or place of business for a direct journey to the place of embarkation in Malaysia to commence travel to the intended destination(s) and ceases on the below circumstances whichever occurs first: 
  1. The expiry of the Period of Insurance
  2. The Insured Person's return to his/her place of residence or place of business in Malaysia
  3. Eight (8) hours after arrival in Malaysia
14. WHO TO CONTACT FOR AN EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE?
  • Please call Asia Assistance at +6 03-7628 3611/ 03-7965 3919, call reverse applicable. If you are unable to do so during an emergency, seek treatment first, and contact Asia Assistance as soon as possible
15. HOW DO I SUBMIT A CLAIM?
  • Please submit a duly completed travel claim form within 30 days from the date of loss, together with all supporting documents to Citylife Associates Sdn Bhd, or Contact Citylife Customer Service
