Getting there
The only way to get to the islands is of course by boat. However, there are two different jetties in Johor that will bring you to this 5 Island so make sure to have the right one.

You have to pay for marine park fees in order to go to these islands.

Monsoon
Monsoon season in Malaysia usually happens from November until February or March. Mostly all resorts in the islands are fully closed in this particular month.
